The man behind PizzaBurg

Mir Shamsul Bari Mehadi

“I realised a job would never let me use my full potential. So I started something of my own.”

While studying at NSU, Mehadi worked part-time at Grameenphone. The corporate path felt too small, so he became a founding investor in Coffee Express before drafting the idea for PizzaBurg in 2017.

The name came from a Consumer Behaviour class: his professor said a business name should say what it sells. Pizza and burgers. PizzaBurg. It opened in Mirpur in January 2018, with his family, especially his father, backing him from day one.

His recipe was simple: real mozzarella, cheddar, parmesan and cream cheese, flavours tuned to Bangali taste buds, and prices students can afford. Meaty Onion and Sausage Carnival became the bestsellers that built the brand.
